Nueve Violaciones en CavSci

Promises were meant to be broken as rules were meant to be violated. Is that a YES or a NO? Breaking promises or violating rules, in my opinion cannot be avoided. One great example of this revolves in a huge institution, like schools. Of course, schools have these school policies to maintain peace, order, and proper actions inside the school premises. Now I have come up with 9 places or buildings in CavSci indicates the 9 violations being committed there. Each place represents the 9 circles of hell, from Dante Alighieri's epic poem, Inferno.

1ST STATION
As a reader, this will be the start of your journey. It all begins with the main entrance of the school --- THE GATE. Here, the late comers are the sinners. Students in CavSci are obliged to go to school on time but some students fail to do so. The Student Police, on the other hand, is the group of students assigned to take care of this kind of violation. They take the names of the late comers and sometimes, ask them to write a narrative indicating the reason why they came late.

2ND STATION
THE CANTEEN is the second station in the school.  After hours of classes, students crave for something they want to eat. Falling in such a long line isn't a big deal at all. The important thing is they get what they crave for. But their mistake is getting more than what they need. There is a tendency for them to be greedy and get so much full.

3RD STATION
THE GYM. This is the next station. This place is where the students showcase their talents, through pageants or other competitions, though some become so much competitive. The students in the big crowd goes wild. They scream at the top of their lungs and even say violent reactions which are unpleasant to hear. We all know shouting and making unnecessary noises are not allowed. Doing such means violating school policies.

4TH STATION
After the third station comes THE SCOUTING ROOMS. Students have their own roles, not just in school but also in their own country. Each and everyone of them are members of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of the Philippines. They are expected to act like a real scout. Every year, they recite their promise and law yet they seem to break it. They do not realize how true the saying "Actions speak louder than words" is. It's considered a sin, for they failed to be true with the words they say.

5TH STATION
The fifth station is the largest of all. It's what we call THE FIELD. It's cleanliness must be maintained as always. However, students keep on littering. They keep on throwing their garbages instead of keeping them inside their bags, as if they're not the one who will suffer because of it. They keep on littering, so in return, they keep on cleaning their respective areas. It's an unending cycle.

6TH STATION
You are almost done with this short journey. The sixth station is THE H.E. ROOM. This is where the principal stays almost all the time. The principal minds her own private businesses here so students are not able to barge in suddenly. This is a sin, for doing such will show lack of respect.

7TH STATION
The seventh circle revolves around THE CLASSROOMS. Lots of violations are committed here. Those are vandalism, cheating while taking tests, and not paying attention to the teacher discussing before the students are some of the examples of it. If caught, the teacher is in charge of it. He/ she cannot just tolerate those kind of actions.

8TH STATION
The eight station is THE GUIDANCE CENTER. Darkness, shame, tears, emotional pain and regret; those are the what this station is all about. Students who are caught into a big trouble are brought here. The parents of the students and the teachers involved are here as well. They're here to know each and every detail of the problem and how they could deal with it or what could be the solution for it.

9TH STATION
The last station is THE OFFICE. Here, the students with the most number of offenses or committed the worst violation are being punished. How? It's probably by suspending them or in the worst case, they could be kicked out. Decisions are being made here. It sort of serves as the court of the whole school where the kind of punsihment the students should receive are thought of.

That'll be the end. Those are the 9 STATIONS and VIOLATIONS in CavSci. It's not my intention to mock or insult anybody. These are only my opinions. It should be looked at another perspective and that perspective is giving lessons and opening the eyes of each and every student in CavSci. This is to remind them that they entered this school bringing their own little dreams, together with the rules and regulations they promised not to violate.

Wanna talk? AJEJEJEJE XD

IS TEXTING RUINING YOUR KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE?

English had always been my second language. I can't say I know so much knowledge about it but instead, I can put it this way -- I am fluent in both speaking and writing in English. No wonder I can easily express myself in English like what I am doing at this moment. As we all know, language is associated with communication. We cannot communicate with people if languages don't exist. Nowadays, technology has been entrenched in the idea of this generation that the two are nearly inseparable. Technology enables us to do various things, including communicating with other people.

Most teenagers engage their selves in communicating through TEXTING. Almost all teenage population in this world, I guess, have their own cell phones and using it is always a part of their everyday lives except for me. Although I don't have my very own cellphone, I still can communicate with other people through some social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. So for me, it's a big NO. Communicating with other people never ruined my knowledge about the English language and it never will.

Do you remember the time when most teenagers call themselves JEJEMON?...which used to grind my gears 'cause every word I see is an EYESORE! They usually type like this: Eow phowszx! I know it's not fully used in English language but still I think it affects a lot since some words in English are getting involved which means there is surely going to be wrong spelling, punctuation, capitalization and others. I think laziness is another reason for one's knowledge about the English language. I've noticed before that people usually do short cuts when they text. Letters which they think aren't necessary are being omitted, thus affects the way how they spell words. Sometimes, in most native speakers of the English language, they come up with informal contarctions like gonna, wanna, shoulda and many more. They get used to these things eventually so English language, is already basically ruined.

As I have said earlier, communicating never ruined my knowledge about the English language but...it does affects one thing. I OFTEN DON'T PUT PROPER PUNCTUATIONS! Not in chatting, tweeting, neither in posting statuses. Maybe I'm one of those lazy people but I have reason behind this. I also include emoticons when I chat for it adds more life to the conversations. Never it happened that I didn't put "XD"s and "LOL"s in my messages. WHY? It's just that communicating people using these social networking sites, in my opinion, couldn't be that formal but it depends on the people who you're talking with, of course. So in short, it doesn't fully ruin my knowledge about this second language of mine since I only talk t my friends and family most of the time.

What we should be all pointing out is that LANGUAGE is a system of communication which is very essential to us, humans. It should always be used properly for the sake of our knowledge in a specific language to be enriched, not ruined.

Three Words: FREE FROM STRESS!

Living a stressful life is not a joke. Once in a while, we should take a break from stress and simply make the most out of it while we have the time. For students like us who goes to a school which requires A LOT of effort in order not to fail exams and eventually survive, I think  we deserve having this semestral break, even for just a short period of time.

I honestly love having these kinds of short vacations. Well, who doesn't want having one? I felt super excited when I first heard that we'll have a ten-day semestral break because I simply need sleep. I was already planning the random stuffs I can do to spend my time aside from the school projects and home works.

During the first day of our semestral break, I started cleaning everything I consider a mess. (If that's the case, I'll probably clean my whole room.) So I fixed all my stuffs at home and unpacked my things so that my mom could wash my bag. I knew that it was the start of something WORTHY.

I only did few and simple things during our sembreak but no one has an idea how much happy I am during those days. Before our first semester ended, I got hooked with playing table tennis. I didn't know I was actually good at it. While I was cleaning our room, I found a new pair of rackets for table tennis! I knew my father and I could use our free time to play together. I also got a new haircut because I've been having the same kind for years already. At first I felt so upset because it doesn't look good on me but I was able to embrace this new look afterwards.

May I present you, the GOD OF THUNDER, THOR!
Basically, my life right now revolves around FAN GIRLING. People may say I get too crazy for my idols but I don't really mind as long as I'm enjoying what I do. Here goes my favorite singer Ed Sheeran and my all time favorite Marvel hero, Thor! I get pretty weird when I hear their name...I hyperventilate when I hear a news about them. Last October 29 and November 2, Ed had his concert at Madison Square Garden and of course, his fans were there to hear his heavenly-like voice while I was at home...crying over the live stream. At the same time, I was also fan girling about Thor. I did not stop unless I have bought merchandises like tumblers, USB, and magazines. I'm aware that it's kind of a waste of money but times like this only comes rarely. Thor's second movie finally came out and I can only say that IT'S MENTAL. This movie is way better the first one. I was crying and laughing at the same time and I had a hangover when I came home from the cinema.

But above all, the real purpose of semestral breaks for me is to have more time not just for myself, but also for my family. My aunt and his husband went home from London so we spent our time bonding, going to malls and have little talks. I truly appreciate having short vacations. See, I did not worry about projects at all not because I don't care about my grades but because I believe I have to enjoy this vacation. They only come for like, thrice a year so I definitely have to make the most out of it for after this, we'll get back to normal and face the long days and nights once again.
